AVC-intra - twice the compression efficiency of MPEG-2
With its I-Only compression, AVC-Intra produces remarkably stable images that are unaffected by adjacent frames. This allows you the freedom to film in virtually all situations and workflows including flash-filled press conferences, fast-action sports, and music shows with electronic displays. And by selecting the most effective compression techniques in compliance with the H.264 standard, AVC-Intra has doubled the compression ratio of MPEG-2.
The VARICAM series – now you choose when you stop recording
Capable of shooting stunning imagery in both true 4K and High Dynamic Range (HDR) the VariCam series is fast-becoming the industry choice for cinematography, TV production, documentaries and live event production. With dual ISO settings, VariCam means that even in very low-light shooting conditions, you’re free to keep on working.
VariCam 35 and VariCam Pure offer the highest-quality images of the VariCam Series, featuring a dynamic range of 14+ stops of latitude, a wide colour gamut and two native ISO settings of 800 and 5000. The VariCam 35 and the high-speed VariCam HS both feature an innovative, modular design that lets you separate the camera head from the recording module.
Lightweight and compact, VariCam LT offers a single-body design with the same Super-35mm sensor as the VariCam 35, while the VariCam Pure was designed by both Panasonic and Codex to capture the highest quality images in 4K RAW at up to 120fps. All thanks to the same sensor found in the VariCam 35 and VariCam LT, and an industry-standard workflow via Codex’s Production Suite.
